Gifs as a medium have far outgrown the limitations of gifs as a file format. Ever since I made my first one, I’ve long wished they could exist in high quality (gifs are limited to 256 colors). This is going to be necessary for them to make the leap they’re making as a respected art form. Some people try making vimeo loops, but those ‘jerk’ on the reset. Since there is no high-quality alternative...
