“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”“We did not have the aim of discovering Cubism. We only wanted to express what was in us.”
Starting this Friday, April Twenty-Two,
I [Ronen Verbit] will create and release an awesome new video from my imagination every week until I die trying.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.”

Occasionally I write these little stories, all in one sitting, right as soon as the idea comes. (Right Now is the new Later.)
Here’s three of them:
Lots of cool people are following me here

At any given time when you have an idea or impulse or opportunity to create something, there will always be reasons not to. Right now you are probably thinking of something you could write/shoot/draw/create, but there are lots of reasons you’re not acting on it.
Some of these are disguised as reasons not to do it right now. But “creating it later” is indistinguishable to your present reality from “not creating it”.
There are imaginary warehouses filled with all the things you once decided to create Later.
Right Now is the new Later.
How many pages do you regret having written in your life? Not sent, not published, but regret having written?
None.
Now: how many pages do you regret not writing?
Too many to count?
So how is that decision ever difficult??
You stand with a decision: To CREATE RIGHT NOW or NOT TO.
You can start thinking of all the reasons NOT TO create. And they will be plentiful.
Studies have shown that people with higher IQs tend to be more susceptible to scams. The reason is that humans make decisions EMOTIONALLY then immediately RATIONALIZE it with a ‘logic alibi’. The smarter the person, generally, the greater their ability to rationalize their emotional descision.
Similarly, the more imaginative the person, the greater the gap between the capability of their imagination and the capability of their hands, and therefore the greater difference between their vision and their execution. Therefore, the greater risk they feel like they’re taking on by making something.
Judge your work against zero, which is the nothing it replaces.
If you want reasons not to create, they will be plentiful and easy to find.
Or, if you instead want reasons to create, you have two always readily available to you:
- You will have some thing you have created.
- You will, right now, be a Creator.
My name is Ronen Verbit and I believe in You.
seek (adventure) and ye shall find.
what did you create this week?
may start posting here again
ok, time to head back to new york city.
Find something selfish you’ve wanted to do for yourself for a long time, but haven’t.
Do it!
And tell me about it.
